We are proud to say that our self-driving vehicles are on the road now in the UK. We developed a detailed safety case before conducting trials. The safety case demonstrates that the trial activity is being conducted safely (with safety defined as the absence of unreasonable risk). You can downlad a copy of the safety case using the link below.

We are currently conducting live trials in which we are providing semi-autonomos deliveries in the United Kingdom. The trials see medicines delivered, free of human contact, from pharmacies to vulnerable people in care homes.
This trial will take place within the Greater London regions of Hounslow and Banstead, Surrey.
Three phases are occuring between July and December in 2020. Phase 1: Mapping the regions using our data gathering vehicles. Phase 2: Autonomous pick up and drop-off procedure testing. Phase 3: Perform Semi-autonomous delivery runs.
One of the biggest problems in retail is known as the last-mile problem, by automating the process, Kar-go exists to remove the cost and time associated with last-mile delivery by over 90 percent.

In order for our autonomous software to operate on roads, we must first pre-train it to the specified route. This is a process which uses Data-Gathering vehicles, fitted with cameras to capture the road along the route.
Unmistakable and eye-catching, if our Kar-Go Delivery Bot is conducting autonomous vehicles in your area, you may see the small green ‘spaceship’ on the road. This vehicle is autonomously driven, with all the detection and navigational functionalities you would expect from any human driver.
Hounslow, London, UK
We are working with Eurovia UK and the London Borough of Hounslow where we will deliver equipment for key workers in the construction industry as well we as deliver prescription medicines semi-autonomously. We chose to work in this areas as it is representative of a large section of semi-urban London in the United Kingdom's residential areas covering both an urban and residential environment.
The Command Hub is a building with a computer system that provides a complete control of of our autonomous vehicles on the road. This provides access to real-time information such as diagnostics, logistics and navigational information as well as the ability for an operator to view the vehicles progress as well as take remote control of the vehicle if required. Below is a link to a document with more information on the Command Hub.
Kar-go is the culmination of four years of work from what began in the Computer Science department in Aberystwyth University in Wales, to become one of the first companies in the world with self-driving cars on the road today.
All aspects of the vehicle are designed here in the UK, this includes the vehicle, the sensors, control systems, operating system and software suite. The company now has several corporate and commercial partners and working with NVIDIA who provide the super computer which powers our algorithms.
